****!!!! I have a place in the middle of nowhere that only really gets MTN signal (spotty VC signal) and was hoping for something that didn't require a 24 month bloody contract. I really wish they could stop with the 24 month contracts.

The operators are using "promotions" to lower their prices without having to get the new prices approved by ICASA first.

So these prices are sustainable on 24month contract which comes with a modem/router but they are not sustainable as a prepaid standard? *scratches head*

Why are they lowering prices? I thought they had a superior network and are effectively cheapest already... :/

Love the competition, but this is vuil!

No more 24 month contracts for me. I am doing it at last! Moving to Cell c after 12 years - prepaid at 99c per second billing 500mb data for R75 maybe not as good as R89 for a GB, but NO CONTRACT.

Good prices there 1Gb for R89 not bad at all - for now.

Its the 24 month contract part that sucks. And it explains why their market share doesnt show signs of decreasing. They lock the suckers in for 24 months while they can.
