Who here got to see them live? That makeup and hair!? Gotta love the 80's. Wonder what they're all up to these days. Wonder if that Taximan could be redone with a modern twist by a black SA outfit.

Classic 80's!!!!!!!!!
Via Afrika - Hey Boy! one of my favourites.
Falling Mirror - Johnny calls The Chemist
the 80's awesome!
I think I have the double album "Concert In The Park" here somewhere.
I was never big into the local music at that time but was heavy into the overseas stuff but now and again you hear a blast from our local past and damn some of that stuff really rocks. Even today when McT and kilo and a few of you other guys post songs from the 80's that I have not heard, let's say like the B-side's of a famous tune, then I go look for it and I actually enjoy the songs.
We had some c**p too... /Points at the Soft Shoes and laughs... But Lucien and Erik were awesome watching live. Heather and Ella Mental were also great, I could stare at Michelle from Via Africa for hours and Johnny Clegg is still a legend. As a Saffer who came up at the time, I don't really think you can listen to Scatterlings or Bright Blue's Weeping without feeling a little proud to to be local.
I have a Johnny Clegg/Juluka album and a Soft Shoes album here too. I have plenty of South African albums but I do not listen to them.
Soft shoes - LOL... he can walk and he can talk... blah blah
It's one of those that sticks whether you want it there or not ha ha.
ha ha ha like rubbery cheese(y).
Saw these guys live at TUKS they should have gone overseas - sure they would have been a big hit.
