I mean u review a tv but u can't even get the spec's right I made sure before telling the oak its a Oled ...Site are selling it as a Oled to
It is a very good TV, stunning contrast, blacks are really black. But the 3D part - horrible. Looks like cardboard cut-outs from a child's toy. I think 3D is a marketing gimmick. Apart from Avatar, all 3D movies I've seen at a movie house are awful. Titanic in 3D was blurred. About 20 mins into the movie I went to the cash desk and told them to adjust the focus. When I got back there was someone in the booth fiddling as the focus was going in and out from badly blurred to sharp. Patrons started complaining.
Especially local salespeople who are apparently telling potential customers that if they buy a TV now they won't need an STB for South Africa's switch-over from analogue to digital broadcasting.
I genuinely didn't think it was going to be an issue, but Samsung's naming schemes have turned out to be more than a little confusing.
This is not an OLED TV, despite reports from earlier in the year from other tech media outlets that might say the ES8500 is OLED. This is a plain ol' LED side-lit TV.
Yes, it has regular leds for the backlight, but they are divided into cells and the processor will reduce the backlighting for dark areas, causing them to have better contrast. Since the processor is very fast, there is no lag.
