To a degree, I think we can generalise here.
In terms of exorcism, it would only ever be someone religious trying to strangle a child so that demons come out.
How are the demons supposed to come out if you're choking them? isn't that a bit counter productive? Are they trying to make the conditions uncomfortable for the demon? are they choking the demon? fack these people annoy me. The atheist in me wants to smash these 7 adults faces with shovels for choking the child.
It's funny how you get apologetics crying generalising but in this case, generalising is perfectly fine.
Unless you get atheists who believe in demons who also do exorcisms which I really don't think is the case.
Poor kid but it's stories like this that will hopefully lead more people away from credulous thinking.
It's the same as the story I read a few weeks ago about township residents beating a dog because the owner was a witch.
But an actual witch that could do actual spells and actual magic.
