Either way people are a tad paranoid - I see the site is registered with payfast, they do extensive checks and if you pay by card and don't receive the goods then easy enough to cancel.
Fairly obvious though the dude with the 2 post wonder was from the site, he should've just said so, nothing wrong with having a new site.

There's nothing wrong finding people to voucher for a store. I'm certainly not going to spend R5500 on a the new IPAD from a store owned by dodgy characters.

Indeed nothing wrong, though you can't know if they dodgy or not yet.
If you have found an item that is a good price then I suggest contact payfast direct, they have live chat on their site and tell them your concerns re the merchant and find out what security you have etc if you place a purchase, wouldn't mind hearing what they have to say.

Why don't you buy something small and see how they go. A 4gb flash drive for instance. Then let us know. If you pay via c/card then you have recourse

I searched for them online because I want to buy shoes and came across this post at the top of the results page. I'll go with Chris and Za1's advice and I think I'll take the plunge and come back and let you know when/if I get my purchase.
