    Default Decisions,Decisions!

    Hi there fellow iBursters

Recently my speed wont exceed the 0.76mbps mark although my signal is 100% according to the signal strength meter on my desktop, just need to know if the below antenna might help with the current frustrations.

    Link to the specs please?

Have a look on the iBurst coverage maps to find your closest base stations, see How to locate an iBurst base station using Google Maps.
A directional antenna will improve the signal to your closest base station, and it will also allow you to aim at a different base station if you find your closest is heavily loaded.

(If you find one, please post in this thread: iBurst base station locations and BSCCs)

That looks like a Log-Periodic Dipole Antenna for GSM/3G. An L-PDA works over a wide range of frequencies, in this case the 900MHz and 2100MHz bands.
A Yagi-Uda Antenna designed specifically for the iBurst band (1787MHz) will have a much better gain and should cost less too.

This Yagi from Miro looks promising, it has a gain of 13dBi:

Other options are the omni and flat panel antennae available directly from iBurst:
