I have bought an 8ta 3g stick and the 2gb + 1gb data bundle to test it out. I am happy with the service and I want to buy the 60gb + 60gb bundle. However, upon reading the terms and conditions on 8ta's website for this bundle I got confused as to when the bundle expires. In one place it says:
"How long is the bundle valid for? - The bundle is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase."
it then says:
"How long will the prepaid Once-Off Internet 60GB Promo Bundle offer be valid for? - This promotional bundle will be available for a limited period only."
it then says
"What will happen after the expiry of the prepaid Once-Off Internet 60GB Promo? - The prepaid Once-Off Internet 60GB Promo will run for a limited period only. Upon expiry of the promotion, users will be migrated to the normal prepaid per second billing rate plan."
I also read elsewhere on this site that 8ta has extended the promotion period until the end of March 2013.
So does this all mean:
1. I purchase the bundle on 1 October 2012, from 31 March 2013 people will no longer be able to purchase this bundle, and then on the 31st of October 2013 my bundle will expire, upon which I will be migrated to the normal prepaid per second blah blah blah.
OR
2. I purchase the bundle on 1 October 2012. On 31 March 2013 people will no longer be able to purchase this bundle. My bundle will also expire on this date meaning that I only had it for 6 months and not 12. (which is pretty stupid)
Common sense tells me that 1 prevails, but you never know...
8ta really needs to get a new lawyer to write their terms and conditions in a clearer manner
Thanks!
