    Cool All Stars Dream Team

Kinda bored at work, so thought of this, if you could pick a allround dream team of players from the 90ties up until now, who would you have picked

    1.H.Amla (Vice Captain)
    2.R.Dravid
    3.S.Tendulkar
    4.J.Kallis
    5.R.Ponting (C)
    6. K.Sangakkara (K)
    7.S.Pollock
    8.S.Wanre
    9.W.Younis
    10.W.Akram
    11.M. Muralitharan

I might be jumping the gun with Amla, but honestly i think he is one of the greats, was a tough decision between him and Lara

So post your guys Dream teams,

I can't tell what format your team is designed for, but my ODI team from the nineties until now would be:

    1. Amla
    2. Tendulkar
    3. Ponting
    4. Lara
    5. AB de Villiers
    6. Dhoni
    7. Pollock
    8. Warne
    9. Akram
    10. Ambrose
    11. McGrath

Could change my mind in two minutes though. Gilchrist loses out to Amla because of the latter's insane current stats and because there is a keeper in Dhoni there.

It’s a all-round team, both ODI and Test, if i had to go for a specific team for each format i would have looked a little different 

Ambrose was a great bowler, but personally i rate Younis just a tad beter, and don’t forget about the great Courtney Walsh....
I also won’t have selected Pollock and McGrath in the same team (well not in a dream team where the possibilities are endless ), but it might have worked, 2 highly accurate bowlers with 2 strike bowlers, with Warne....think they might have destroyed even the mentioned batting order....

I see Walsh’s best ODI bowling figures are 5/1
How in the hell do you take 5 wickets and only conserve 1 run ?

Amla has'nt got half Lara's talent, Lara often had to carry West Indies by himself in the era of great fast bowling. Stop being disrespectful

Jonty Rhodes changed fielding like Adam Gilchrist changed the wicketkeeper batman role

Lara was bad-ass in the mid 90's. Way better than Amla...

ummm, please indicate to me where i was disrespectful ?

Saying Amla has half Lara’s talent, now i would rather say that’s a little disrespectful

Amla and Lara are very much on par looking at the Test Stats, Lara probably edging past Amla (but only just),but when we move towards ODI’s, then Amla is much much beter, he averages almost 16 more than Lara, which is HUGE, but please don’t just take my word for it, go and look for your self www.cricinfo.com :-)

So before making rerated statements, please do sufficient research on the player, obviously you have not watched Amla play.

You comparing a player playing for a team almost equal the Aussie team of the 90s with a player who played in a team equal today's Zimbabwe

    You’re point being?

Its much harder to shine in a team full of superstars than a team full of “no so great players”,
But honestly, i can hardly call a team with Lara, Walsh, Ambrose, Hooper and Jimmy Adams a modern-day Zimbabwe
