How much free space does your SSD have? It could be that you have too little free space to get good results in the benchmark applications...
I'd guess that if you have like 10GB left, then your results should show high transfer speeds.
@pada, had 5GB left when i tested....have now 12GB left when i moved arma 2 to other hdd. Still same speeds. Did a benchmark on my seagate, it write even faster on the seagate
Im running out of idees and hope, wasted my money on this fast ocz (even bought new MB just for the SATA3), could have gotten intel with double space for same price.
How much did you pay for that SSD then? The OCZ Vertex 4 128GB goes for R1200 new and most 100GB ones are in the R1000 price range.
R750, but the vertex 4 is slower, intel 128GB is R800...going to test this SSD at PC shop today or tomorrow, and if it slow their also im returning it to takealot.com.
For what it's worth, I slot in a Vertex 4 this week into an older system (Sata II mobo for instance), did a clean re-install of Windows, followed the guide by "Sean someone" to fine-tune and it is working great. Getting almost the exact speeds on CrystalDisk as Fudzy posted above.
Is your firmware up to date for the drive. When I got my Corsair drive for my laptop....it was giving big issues. It would not boot into the OS from a cold start. Had to cntl alt delete to do a quick boot and only then would it boot into the OS. I then noticed that the drives firmware was 5 versions out of date. Upgraded the firmware and it solved the problem.
Now why you loer en kyk gelyk?
Is ek miskien van goud gemake?
yes as i stated in earlier post, its up to date.
Do you not have any sataII slots to test with. My vertex 4 256GB works beytter in sataII than in SataIII on my mobo.
SO takealot swapped my drive out, but new one it just as slow...tried on 3 motherboards, all latest bios and drivers...190mb read/ 80 write .... im sure the speeds are sepose to be better?
I dont know what more to do .....![]()
Did you install Windows with on a 1MB aligned partition?
Could you perhaps give it a ATTO benchmark run? http://majorgeeks.com/ATTO_Disk_Benchmark_d6359.html
It looks like quite a few people have complained about the speed of the Agility 3 60GB and apparently ATTO does show 500MB/s read/write kind of speeds with it...
It looks like the speeds you're getting is in line with what the guys got in the reviews: http://compreviews.about.com/od/stor...ity-3-60GB.htm
OK, so your ATTO benchmarks show that the SSD can actually write at 480MB/s and read at 550MB/s when the data can be compressed.
If you want faster read/write speeds, then you should've bought a 128-256GB OCZ Vertex 4 and not a previous generation and small Agility SSD.
Frankly, I'm not sure if you will even notice the difference when using games or applications. Benchmarks are just so synthetic!
