Thread: Visual studio express

    Thumbs up Visual studio express

I dunno if anyone else knows about this but you can get the visual studio package + help files + register + support all for free and the package is fully operational so you don't have to get pirate copies to do little projects etc from home if you a student(if you campus does not give the full thing for free as most have agreements to do it) and use it forever. they have c++ /c# /J++ /j# basc and some web developer. anyways its like 440MB per for the main ones with help files and a sql version.

There are restrictions on what can be done but with most projects its fine except mobile o/s. I'm thinking of getting me some packages this month, and my friend getting the others too.
When have you demonstrated leadership skills?

University most certainly does give it to you for free

These Express versions are feature crippled and miss some pretty major features. Still nice though I suppose

A comparison is here. Well if you aren't making very comercial applications its ok.

Yah most universities have a trust agreement with microsoft to allow their computer scicence/engineers access to everything except office last time i checked(1 yr use suppose to be). Speaking of which i must get me .net cause i have to code for microsoft mobile o/s
