Print a book in the time it takes to make an espresso

It looks like a large, clumsy, see-through photocopier, which is sort of what it is. But it is a thousand times more powerful.

R88 for 150 pages? I'd love to see the econonmics that went into that. Maintenance on that thing must be quite something.

In the era before the Kindle this may have been a major break-trough. But now I have access to over a million titles on my R1000 device.

R88 is not bad at all. I wonder if it includes colour pictures? I have an architectural book that cost R 3800, but it is A3 and runs to 600 pages. Crisp images on an A3 sheet beat any electronic display, whatever the size.

Very interesting!! Government should get a few of these machines to help with the printing of more school books. A very worthwhile investment I think!

A very neat machine and a great business concept. Wish I also had capital to make my dreams come true.

“Besides, Exclus1ves.co.za has roughly 16-million books in its catalogue that caters for, I would say, 98% of customer requests.”

ROFLMFAO, what a joke, when they do actually have a book I want it's almost double the online price.

I partially agree with this.. With reference books though I prefer both, digital and a physical. And this machine would be great to get a physical copy. I dont have to wait weeks for it to be delivered then.

Not bad? It's cheap - hence my question... you would have to do x turnover to get that cost.

As I understand their website, only the cover of the book is produced in colour. They use a inkjet printer for this purpose. They work from a PDF file so if the PDF is not properly done, it will affect the quality of the book. It is still way to expensive to justify the machine but the idea is neat.
