How much SA’s Internet users earn

You may not be surprised by the monthly household income of South Africa’s Internet population

Pretty sure people earning 70K+ don't have time to spend surfing MyBB... Well at least not 12% of this site's users...

It's SA's Internet users. Not just myBB users. Wtf is up with all the comprehension fail in here? People just see graphs and forget to read the text?

The button for the survey pops up on most of the tech sites (mybb, mygaming, businesstech, techcentral) as well as Multichoices' websites (supersport, dstv, ...)

It popped up when I opened this forum page.

Not being employed doesn't mean you don't have a house hold income...

But if your house hold income is less than R500 and you are spending it on Internet AND a flash capable device (ie. PC or andriod tablet - no BBM) then perhaps they need some finance counseling.

Not surprising, you have to earn at least R20 000 a month to afford ADSL these days.

    From that article ..
When it comes to languages spoken at home (which can include two or more languages), English reigns surprise with 67%, followed by Afrikaans at 43%, and IsiZulu with 9%.
... the term is "reigns supreme"

    That's not a bad salary.
The average household income in some affluent JHB and PTA suburbs in 2010 was between about R24K and R28K so you're doing quite well considering that it's a single salary versus household income.

    Household income 2010:
    1 Pretoria - East R28,651.32
    2 JHB - Fourways R28,347.83
    3 JHB - Bedfordview and Edenvale R27,816.67
    4 JHB - Midrand R27,781.25
    5 JHB - Sandton R27,737.50
    6 JHB - Rosebank Killarney R26,314.81
    7 Pretoria - Centurion R25,051.02
    8 JHB - Randburg North R24,562.50
    9 Durban North - Umhlanga R24,227.27
    10 JHB - Randburg South R23,635.14
