That is an incredibly stupid thing to say. If this were some average Joe then it could be laughed, but the Hawks' spokesman? Idiot! Fire him.

Insensitive maybe, but then why should the feelings of a convicted child murderer be considered above that of a policeman?

Maybe Jub Jub or whatever the hell the scum thinks he should be called should have thought of the consequences before being reckless and killing those children. Possibly, if he thought about the possibility of vaseline beforehand, he might have decided not to go for his joyride and those kids would still be alive.

No sympathy from me, I hope they .. 'doen hom droog'!

Go ask the children they drove into if they are bothered by the joke. Everyone else STFU.

Rape of any kind whether in or outside prison is a serious violation of one's rights. As much as we feel that prisoners deserve to be in prison, they have rights too and they have the right to be protected against rape.

That tweet actually promotes rape as a good thing.

    Sick sick joke.

No, it actually promotes safer roads. If you don't like the idea of being shafted in jail .. then don't speed, drive under the influence, and stay out of jail.

Dunno, was this Jub Jub clot some kind of celeb that everyone thinks he needs special protection or something?

I cannot believe that some are defending those comments! This is a high ranking police official making jokes about crime. Seriously, you see no problem with that?! FFS, it seems it is not just the "leaders" of this country that we need to be worried about.

It's illegal for police to make jokes about crime?
