Schalk Heunis studied as an electrical engineer and did post-graduate work on Probablistic Methods Applied to Power Systems. He completed a PhD on this topic in 2000.
Schalk has an unhealthy appetite and love for data – analysing data, discovering relationships and helping folks to make better decisions using these insights. Most of this he does using a language called R, but he also code some Java and hack Arduino’s in his sparetime. Using these skills, Schalk currently provides specialist consulting and contract research services in the energy sector.
