Question concurrent connections and your ISP

    good day

what is stopping me from buying an uncapped offering from a ISP that offers 2 concurrent connections, and then splitting the cost 50/50 with a mate?

shouldnt be a problem? Though I see that almost all the uncapped offerings are limited to 1 concurrent connection

    Thoughts?

Nothing stops you from doing this except perhaps terms and conditions. Keep in mind that normally your account's bandwidth is split between the two connections as well.

Was also thinking of going this route. I've got two separate 1mb accounts (one for me and the other one for the SO) and was thinking of getting a 2mb Plugg account that we both use.

I'll give them a call next week to find out if it's possible.

well the mere fact that it allows 2 concurrent connections means that its allowed to be running on 2 seperate adsl circuits at the same time. I mean, that is the definition of concurrent in my mind?

Im stuck with Axxess for January, but after that they getting the boot... Had enough of this MTN bull****

I was thinking more in the lines of their T's & C's stating that the account is to be used by one client only, as in two separate people/circuit owners aren't allowed to share it. It's just semantics anyway.

I'm sharing a Plugg 10 Mbps account. Works great.

A plugg or Openweb Gold account are highly recommended. The Openweb gold account is a bit more pricey, but waaaaaay worth it.

The only person stopping you is yourself and a bud to split the costs
