SOOOOO

Anyone watched it this weekend? Some bitter sweet results heh?

Alonso and Schumie not finishing, but Button won! Good on ye m8!

Yipee!!! Button won!!!!!!!! :D :D

Ja, was quite an interesting race, lots of stuff happened, a crash or two always makes things more interesting.

I seriously need to get DSTV though, watching the F1 at 24:00 means that I can only get like 3 to 4 hours of sleep :(

Go to your local sports bar?

i heard that Schumi did actualy got one point yesterday due to a disqualification.

Do you think there is any truth to the rumours that the GPs lately have been fixed to make it more exciting?

I seriously doubt it. There's too much money in it and the teams put a lot of money in. If there is any kind of fixing then it would destroy the sport very very quickly. Imagine if one of the manufacturers were involved and it came out in public how it would damage their image (possibly beyond repair)

Yip, watched it last night at 12am on sabc sport but congrats to HONDA :D

Sunday’s Hungarian Grand Prix marked Renault’s first double retirement of the year. It wasn’t a great day for title rivals Ferrari either. That was until BMW Sauber’s Robert Kubica was disqualified, turning the Italian team’s one point into three, and putting them just seven behind Renault in the constructors’ table.

On top of that, Fernando Alonso’s advantage over Michael Schumacher in the driver standings narrowed to ten points.

2006 Driver's Championship:
1 Fernando Alonso Spanish Renault 100
2 Michael Schumacher German Ferrari 90
3 Felipe Massa Brazilian Ferrari 52
4 Giancarlo Fisichella Italian Renault 49
4= Kimi Räikkönen Finnish McLaren-Mercedes 49
6 Jenson Button British Honda 31
7 Juan Pablo Montoya Colombian McLaren-Mercedes 26
8 Rubens Barrichello Brazilian Honda 21
9 Nick Heidfeld German Sauber-BMW 19
10 Ralf Schumacher German Toyota 16
11 David Coulthard British RBR-Ferrari 14
12 Pedro de la Rosa Spanish McLaren-Mercedes 10
12= Jarno Trulli Italian Toyota 10
14 Jacques Villeneuve Canadian Sauber-BMW 7
15 Mark Webber Australian Williams-Cosworth 6
16 Nico Rosberg German Williams-Cosworth 4
17 Christian Klien Austrian RBR-Ferrari 2
18 Vitantonio Liuzzi Italian STR-Cosworth 1

2006 Constructor's Championship:
1 Renault 149
2 Ferrari 142
3 McLaren-Mercedes 85
4 Honda 52
5 Toyota 26
5= Sauber-BMW 26
7 RBR-Ferrari 16
8 Williams-Cosworth 10
9 STR-Cosworth 1

Yeah it was quite an exciting race - especially when Alonso crashed out, Schumi zoomed around the circuit...what a bummer he crashed out on the 68th lap :(

I'm glad that the tide seems to be turning in favour of Ferrari though :D

please not a Ferrari supporter :D

I don't have a problem with Ferrari so much, mainly with the arrogant nob of a cheater Schumacher. Whichever team he drives for is the team I won't support.

Kimi should have won! That crash of his was stupid!

God save McLaren!
I am sorry, it appears your request cannot be completed at present.
We are fresh out of miracles for the moment ... :D

Please try again at a later date.

Thank you for your patience :D

Jealousy makes you nasty...
Hmm let's see, numerous attempts to run Montoya off the track in recent years, trying to run Villeneuve of the track in 1997 when he was going for his title, deliberately cruising during qualifying at Monaco this year in an attempt to slow down other qualifiers etc etc. and the list goes on. And now you're telling me he's not a cheater?

Yes he's a good driver, but there's no need to resort to cheap and dirty tactics.

Montoya and Villeneuve deserve to be run off tracks :p Man, 6 years of being a Button supporter finally paid off ....sheesh....talk about commitment

LOL :D

I remember the commentators (I think we get the ITV or Channel 4 feed) who are British, saying that Button "was the next big thing". Of course the British press over-rated him and he disappeared from grace :p

Well done on the win, but will you be waiting another 6 years?

Oh yes and dont forget, that about three years ago, Button did an interview in some racing magazine, were he claimed that he was the best driver in formula 1 at that time. and the only reason he wasnt wining races was due to his car. Now i cant stand shummi but if he had been driving for BAR/HONDA they would not have taken so long to win a race.

Ja seriously ....couldnt he check where he was standing...he could have damaged the car!!!!
