Hi all, would like to change my dstv channels from the bedroom during these cold winter nights. Think I have an 1131,
Can't fit dual view as we are in an estate with the special bouquet
What do I buy and can an idiot fit it ?

ps. Looking at the top of this page I see I can win prizes ? How about a channel changer as a prize? :)

Buy this
Enable TV Link under your advanced settings
Change Channels (assuming your bedroom TV is connected DIRECTLY with coax with NO amplifiers in between and main TV with AV or it has a DC block)

Basically: Decoder > RF OUT > TV EYE > TV in bedroom

OR

Decoder > T-Piece Splitter > DC Block > TV 1
> TV EYE > TV in bedroom

I would use a T-Piece splitter as they are basic and wont interfere with the TV EYE signal, hifi-corp usually has them for about R30

If an amplifier is necessary then ensure it has a TV link pass through feature

Builders warehouse has the better newer version of the TV EYE, its a silver box with a red IR LED on the end

Thanks guys, will go and look at them today.
Hope it doesn't clash with my cell phone booster in another bedroom and next to the main tv in the lounge ?

I just wonder why anybody would recommend a Wizard Blaster instead of a TVlink... Go with Segg's advice.

Does the Eye work with a DSD1131 Decoder. I find 10 conflicting posts about this.
All answers in 4 letter words only please, I have a short attention span.
What little info I can find is that I just connect the eye on the aerial in wire in the bedroom and off I go?
Segg mentions some rocket science with formulas I have to know……...

Thanks, let me buy one and hopefully there won't be a big bang later…...

T-pieces and DC blocks only come into play when there is XtraView and multiple points... So, ignore that part of Segg's advice.

Right guys, I have the little bugger. Ellies BPWLE.
Pull out aerial from bedroom tv, install the gadget and put the "eye" in front of the tv, visible from under the duvet. The packet says "use RF cable for connection" , can it not just plug straight into the tv?
The " menu activate" is bound to get me. What do I look for ? Everytime I push any buttons I usually have to call " the guy"!
Thanks
