i can't locate these anywhere
model number nb7610

i've been to the sahara website, for their notebook drivers you have to enter the model number from the drop down list which is empty

on the ftp site they have a whole different naming system going
g200, g300, kn1, kn3, kn7

I tried the Sahara forum, but you have to register to join, and the registration process isn't working

why do lusers have to bye Sahara laptops from Hifi Corp, comes without a driver CD and what some *** basic version of WinXP made for India

yeah, so any help would be appreciated, an ftp I could download these from would be perfect!
thanks in advance

forget nb7610...

turn it upside down, scrutinise the label on the bottom (normally showing the ac/dc ratings etc etc) for a different model number. then either google that number or post back here.

hmmm you mean right where it says model number: followed by a large blank area?

in case this helps the voltage is 19Vdc --- 3.42A

only other numbers written are:
LE1N
HCLE1013017
LE1TFCCHT6300996

the notebook is celeron m 1.4ghz, 256mb ram, SiS661 Mirage gpu, Hitachi 40gb
I've got the graphics drivers, but I need the modem and wireless lan drivers.
Also the SiS7012 audio drivers I just got bomb out half way through the installation..

I dont knwo who originally made this laptop (the Le1xxx range), however I do know it is sold here in the UK under the generic brand Advent 7087.

lucky you hey?

the wireless lan card wouldve been added to the chassis by sahara, and could be from a range of manufacturers, but if you query the "unknown device" in device manager you will see the pciven id numbers...look under the "details" tab at "device instance id"...it will more thank likely be an intel 2200gb or a 2915abg...but those numbers into google (or the pcidatabase.com) will giveyou the help you need

edit: look slike the wlan is an atheros card, ZD 1211 802.11b+g
go here for drivers: http://www.atheros.com/RD/downloads/download_ZD1211.htm

Just as I was about to ask for a copy of that cd I got lucky on the Sahara ftp site.. found drivers that worked, only took 3 hours to download them with continual disconnects and speeds of 0.5kb/s.
They were in the folder "LE1D Driver v1.1" in case any one else needs them!

Thanks for the help Werner, though the link you posted looked like it was for an external USB device, so those drivers didn't work..
And I ended up installing Realtek AC97 sound drivers instead of the Sis 7012 drivers, for some reason they work :D

You can use Everest to tell you which devices are installed in your PC. Then you can go and download the proper drivers as Everest gives the links as well.

can anyone help me to speed up my LEiN.dont want to buy memory for now but the thing is,its 3 weeks old win starter was pre installed and i onley installed symantec2003 for now.and my printer.my girl playd sims on it and nothing else.Startup takes about 10min.clicking on i-con to open another 5 min.so i uninstalled symantec and sims.closed what i think is the most of the programs that run on startup that wont affect anything serious.standard LE1N notebook.and if i upgrade to what must i upgred.(next year onley)

Thanks for the info guys.

I set up my cousin's Cheap Sahara N1356 (Comes with  Windows XP Starter Edition - a copy of Windows XP so crippled, you can't even dial up to the internet over your bluetooth adapter "Access Denied" Idiots!!! Grrr) -- The drivers in the "LE1D Driver v1.1" directory were a perfect fit.

One of the numbers on the bottom of the unit starts with NB7610. I found this thread with that model number; Couldn't find anything else with any other number, nor on their mediocre and unhelpful website.

ftp://ftp.sahara.co.za/notebook_drivers/LE1D Driver v1.1

Just one thing! Skip the keyboard driver! It's a bit stuffed (Shows garbage windows and doesn't work!)

One more thing. The server is a windows FTP server that doesnt spit out standard directory listings, so I had to copy the files from it with wget and/or FileZilla (http://filezilla.sourceforge.net) (Steer well clear of the Beta Version)

Does anyone know where I can find graphic drivers for this notebook? Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

hi

Where do i look on my laptop what the chipset is set to ?

Trying to load Bernina Editor Lite V4 program. Laptop won't take it. As soon as i put the dongle in it goes into a loop with the 'check device service'. Have been told to check that chipset is not set to VIA.

tks

Any luck with drivers. I have an NB610
