Default Cape Town F1 race is 'inevitable' says bid chief

Well SA's bid for a F1 race seems to have died down recently but the bid CEO Dave Gant is saying that prospects of bringing F1 to Cape Town are still strong.

    He's still hopeful for 2010.

Presuming it would have to be ready by the end of 2009 for the start of the 2010 season, would it even be possible to get the track ready in such short notice?

Still, WOULD LOVE it to come to CT!!!

The track's built and ready. Some people call it the Eastern Boulevard. Ask any taxi driver.
You only get one chance to piss off a client. After that they are an ex client ...

Damnit man, They should bring it to durban instead... we have a track and all that built...... the taxis would just need to be replaced with f1 cars.....

Tho in all seriousness, just the idea of an F1 race anywhere in SA is cool. Durban already has the A1 and thats awesome, all on its own... and Jhb has the GP Masters... which is also really cool... I'll just have to extend my travels to include Capetown if they have a race there....
