Steam Problem...

Hi

I've been having some... problems with Steam. (More so than usual.)

Basically the "My Games" list never displays any games. It just says "Scanning for Steam games updates..." The problem began a few days ago.

I tried deleting "clientregistry.blob", and it didn't help. If I do that, Steam takes about two hours to update - after which it seems to work for the first session (except updates are frozen). The "scanning" problem continues for subsequent sessions.

I also tried re-installing Steam, which didn't help.

Any ideas? I'm not asking Steam support. They'll reply after about a week with, "Are you sure you computer is turned on?'
 
I had this problem once when I logged on, I just logged back out again and tried again. It just went away.

Steam is crap software! I always have to log out and back in again after any update otherwise css won't update and just says starting when I try to start it.
 
It is the new way for to update all the games from what my friend told me...so stupid if you ask.just leave it for a long ass time and hope it doesnt take too much cap :(
