Well I'm seeing a debit order date of the 26th... which is just asking for k@k in their lives.... not everyone gets their money into their bank accounts ON the 25th..... so I'm just seeing the R50 reconnection fee as a money making racket from another monopoly with crap service.
That R50 reconnection fee also strikes me as a money-making scam. How difficult is it to flick a switch? To pay R50 for that seems a bit ludicrous. Also had horrid service from DSTV and still can't figure out if I owe them money or not, said I've paid up to 31 Dec (when I called) but then sent me an SMS saying I must pay up on the 1/12 for Dec![]()
Quote from Hellopeter :
"The debit order dated 26 November 2006 was also unpaid. Since we have not received an alternate payment to date, the service was disconnected earlier today.

Yeah i think thats a little uncalled for on Multichoice/DSTV part.
I mean u already paid them for last month on the 5th. So your payment was done for that month. And November's payment should only be due on 25/26th or at least by the 7th of December. They can at least wait untill the 7th of December for November's payment.
Damn nasty.
U should tell them yur not gonna pay for reconnection, and also want a apology or somethin'. sheesh
So the premium is now 439? or is this including the decoder insurance?
Its just typical of almost every business in this country... They can never do their accounting properly when dealing with large amounts of clients... and when THEY mess up, the client is always forced to pay to fix it.... personally when a company tells me things like that... I tell them they can stick their charges where the sun don't shine, had that kind of an incident when some company tried to charge me a quote rejection fee, got very interesting when i threatened to open a case of theft against the company.... they backpedalled V V quickly.
