Anyone wants to join the Revolution?? Thats only for the competition. Don't be scared. I'm not trying to recruit clients for Virgin.

It will be funny if Virgin gets more customers than CellC, but I doubt if Virgin will take over CellC - it's not how they operate.

In the UK, Virgin buys bulk airtime from a service provider (was One2One, now T-Mobile) and then 'sell' it to customers. In South Africa they buy the bulk airtime from CellC, so, while they might 'look' like a service provider, they're actually like a Makro selling to the public.

*The frustrating bit is that Virgin Mobile must still deal with CellC, to activate accounts, etc - and that's why they haven't really set the mobile phone industry in SA alight....

Yeah, but Virgin mobile are not major players in the UK... In SA virgin are still growing... how weird would it be if Virgin had more customers than CellC, It might as well be considered Virgin's network, the next logical step is to be more efficient and take control of the network rather than act as a third party... not so?

I think Richard would like that, but you're forgetting ONE big obstacle - ever heard of BEE? Can you imagine the drama if a 'perceived British company' takes over a South African BEE company?

There will be a HUGE public outcry from Cosatu and all their cronies...

    Let's just forget it.

Anyone around here remember this thread??

Well, I can't remember that anyone joined. Maybe a good thing. My wife and I both one a Back Message at the Virgin Spa and my brother won R100 airtime. Ok, I know, thats not much but we are both in line to win a Nokia 8800 and 2 return tickets to London through Virgin Atlantic.

    Anyone care to join??

PM me your e-mail and I'll invite you.

The back massage was probably a useful way of getting rid of those aches and pains you got when you did all that typing of made-up names into the Virgin website

    LOL

I'll be getting my new Nokia 8800 soon. I won it in the Virgin Revolutionary competition.
