Thread: Sentech MyWireless is ripping me off and won't talk to me!!

Default Sentech MyWireless is ripping me off and won't talk to me!!

Switched to new compulsory Sentech MyWireless contract end 2006. Average monthly broadband usage 2006 (pre new contract) was under a Gig (their figures) p/m. After new contract it jumped to 1.79 Gigs for November - a 102% increase!! To compound this, I was in the USA and did not use MyWireless for 2 weeks during that time - 14 to 26 Nov 2006. Airline tickets to prove it!

Ditto for month Dec 2006 between 20.12.06 and 31.12.06 when I was on holiday and my modem was unplugged and in a safe. Meldene Security to confirm this! To make it more rediculous, my usage for the whole of Dec is double my annual 2006 average. A huge usage of 1 Gig between 26 and 31 December!! Sentech says 'sorry, not our problem', 'we will escalate your querie'.

I should be paying R450 p/m and now my average bill is R1,000 p/m. I am now not paying them until they decide to listen to me and they will probably cut me off soon. So, i need help fast!

This is daylight robbery by a parastatal. I want to get rid of them coz they are ripping me off but I invested R4,000 in a router and modem. Where can I take my complaint if they don't want to talk to me? Is there anyone with a similar problem? Can we form a collective verbal assault club and make them listen to us? Do I have any alternatives?

I would ask them to provide me with a per protocol breakdown of exactly what traffic including ip's etc that were used. Also ask them for the usage logs which show the IMEI number used for every connection made during the time they claimed you were connected. That would be the easiest way to prove it wasn't you.

Sorry, forgot to mention. The logs should also show which base station the connection was made to. They all have unique ID's and the logs should include them too. If they were made to a B/S in a different suburb/city etc.

Sentech did eventually call me and offered to cut the november bill with R200. what a joke! it is not about the R200 it is about the illegal, increased usage EVERY MONTH that i am bitching.

but, i have now had iburst installed and will cancel my sentech disaster today. Selling my modem! any offers?
