Can anyone tell me if the Riftwar series is any good?
Can anyone tell me if the Riftwar series is any good?
I've made a huge mistake.
Its awesome....well, to me it is.
I was first introduced to Raymond feast's novels about 10 years ago when a friend gave me the "Daughter of the empire" book, I soon bought the rest of the series (3 books in that series).
Then I went back and started his books from the beginning, The magician etc, etc. And finished the Rift war saga 5 or 6 years back. And it was great.
Do yourself a favour and get them all.
If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun.
A great kids series which I don't often see 'advertised' is Tomorrow when the war began.

Great series of books telling the story of Australia's invasion. Highly recommended (by a me from 6 years ago, wonder how they've aged?).
So "50 shades of grey" is like twilight but for middle aged women? I heard JCW doing #thatawkwardmoment on her show promo in the week. According to amazon user reviews it is not even erotic.

Riftwar Saga:
Magician - Great book. It's what got me into fantasy.
Silverthorn - Eh? It's almost irrelevant to the main story started in Magician.
Darkness at Sethanon - Ties things up nicely, although it's not quite up to the level of Magician.
How long does it take you guys to read a book of say 700 pages.
