The title basically says it all.

I have an adsl package through Telkom. I have set up my wireless card on my laptop. My firewall is turned off. I can not for the life of me get onto bittorrent or p2p networks.

If someone could please point me in the right direction with terms that someone without an IT background can understand that would be much appreciated.
