I've always been a big fan of RTS, and now with Halo Wars and C&C coming out on the 360, I'm kinda interested in playing. My only concern is the conbtrol mechanisms for RTS on a console.

Has anyone played a 360 RTS like BFME? What's it like to play? Is C&C or Halo Wars worth buying?

Its definately not as good on an Xbox...I much prefer the mouse/keyboard combo for RTS as well as FPS games.

In my opinion, consoles are good for sports games and driving games.

I used to agree with you on the FPS thing, until I played Halo 2. I think the control system on Halo 2 is really great once you're used to it.

Apparently the people for halo wars , found a brilliant way of playing rts on console , we will have to wait and see how exactly that works.
At least the wii has a pointer and is just like a mouse :)

I've got BFME sitting next to me in my draw, I don't want to start it till I've got through the stuff I'm already playing!

Ah please check it out, i really want to buy BFME , but worried about the controls on xbox for RTS games. Be a sport, or should i say guniea pig :D

I have been playing BFME2 lately and after getting used to the controls one doesnt really miss the mouse/keyboard combo. Take note that BFME2 was rushed for the X360 and C&C 3 will have more refined control methods when its released.

I believe so, which is why I'm willing to consider playing a console RTS.

Metroid Prime had a very good control system. The only thing close to an RTS that I have played on a console was Pikmin.
