Hi guys,

I need some advice and if possible guidelines on setting up a VPN connection.
At work i run a windows xp machine with a Netgear DG834 router and a Openweb uncapped 512kb account. What i would like to do is access my work machine from home via my macbook over 3g. What do i need software wise and what do i need to do ?

Any help or pointers in the right direction would be app.

Regards

Moonie

You can configure the vpn in Internet Connect .

From Help (⌘?)
To connect to a VPN:
1. Open Internet Connect, located in the Applications folder.
2. Click the VPN icon in the toolbar.
3. Choose the type of VPN connection, either "L2TP over IPSec" or PPTP.
4. Choose a configuration from the Connect pop-up menu, then click Connect.
5. To create a second VPN configuration, choose File > New VPN Connection.

aaaa yes i knew that. How do i set up the vpn connection on my windows side since i dont have a static ip ;-)

Register at www.dyndns.com for a free DynDNS address. Let your router setup the ADSL connection, and register itself using the DynDNS details. I am not sure what software (if any) you'll need on XP to accept the VPN connection
