Getting WiMax from Telkom?

Hi Guys

Does anyone know how/where to get WiMax from Telkom? I'm interested in a new broadband provider, so want to investigate it.

Also, what hardware is needed?

They're not really a new provider. Its just a different access technology.
Its still Telkom...
 
I mean't new as in new from my current one. My ex-flat came with 512k, except I've moved out and need a new provider. Trust me, I know Telkom isn't new :P

I'm thinking of something wireless, I've gotten excellent response from Sentech, but iBurst blatently ignored me, so I'm not even going to bother with them if thats how they treat POTENTIAL customers.
 
I'm not sure, but phone the adsl support number 0800375375 and choose option 1 and find out about new services.

You could also phone telscum internet on 10215 and ask them.

Let us know what they said bro ;)
 
I'll do that.. just need to get a phone organized :P Still haven't moved into my new flat... hopefully on the weekend.
 
I submitted an application to telkom awhile back for ADSL. They told me that my area had no coverage because of fiber optic cabling along the route.

So I asked them if my application would default to ADSL and they said yes.

No timelines, product not yet launched, I must wait unitil they are ready and contact me.

So much for service. Thinking about signing up with a local wisp (snowball).

Jeez, this really is a blue monday for me, meant to say " default to WIMAX"..
