Hi all

Q: i feel stupid... atleast for 5mins, till someone can answer it

i recently installed sbs 2003 on a server, having 2 nic's, one is for internet, other is for lan

all wizards and stuff has been setup, exchange is up and running, AD working, joining pc to domain works, etc....

im using the http://companyweb/ConnectComputer to join pc's onto the domain, and install Outlook 2003 with exchange.

when i setup the one user, i spelled her surname incorrectly, was 'van Vuuren', and it shouldve been 'van Rensburg'

I've changed it in AD Users, Exchange is seeing it as the new R, server share is correct, EXCEPT, in Outlook 2003 on her PC. I tried changing the name manually on her pc, but couldnt ! Its grayed out.

How do i change it without losing any data ?

Second Q:

All the users email exchange adres is as follows : [email protected]l

Im using the POP3 Connector to download mail from ISP, which is [email protected], and get transferred to their exchange mailbox.

How can i add the .co.za email as default email for external addresses to the user account ?

I still want to be able to send internally mail without going onto the internet

I've managed to send a email out to [email protected], but the address showed it come from the exchange server, ie : [email protected]l, which my internet connection will never find

My connection is ADSL, and the ISP hosts the mail.

I want the server to be a local server only. Is it possible ?

Let me know, thanks

In Outlook you need to make the change to her Outlook profile:-
Control Panel\Mail icon then rename the profile name........or just delete the profile and create another.

Grayed out, if she is logged on, she doesn't have the right permissions most likely.

On the Exch admin console, you can associate the user with many smtp mail boxes, just can't remember the route out my head, mail routing local will be determined on your setup. "Inbound" from .co.za to "Outbound" .local.
