I'm a 20year old lady from Kempton Park, Johannesburg. For the past 6 months I've been struggling to get a booking for my drivers license. My learners license expires on the 19th of March 2008. I would really like to get a booking before then. I phone 08604288364 each day, most days I even phone twice, but I never get a booking. There are either no dates available or the systems are down. How can it be that there are never available dates? It's so frustrating hearing the same old story over and over again.
Christ-mass is NOT for Christians. Jeremiah 10.Is the 10 Commandments for Christians?
Saturday is the Seventh day, Sunday is the first day.
Word of warning. The little towns don't enjoy having big city folk come to their resting centers just because the city ones are too busy. A friend of mine was recently failed for failing to make any observations in the yard of all places, yet she says she made them all as that is how she (and I) was taught to do the various yard maneuvers, with the observations.

Hi 20 year old lady from Kempton Park. I am SO sorry that you are still struggling. (And everybody else out there!) This is very, very serious! I recommend you all write to your local newspapers demanding that the Provincial Call Centre stops booking for your towns and cities, and that the e-mail system is used for booking. It is efficient, fair and MUCH better! (However, a severe shortage of examiners everywhere is STILL a major problem.)
Please write to me via saidi@lantic.net.

Why don't the guv take a look at Sterkinekors online web bookings. It works like a charm!
The problem is far from over and it would seem that it's more comfortable to ignore it, than trying solve it; this excerpt from an article on News 24
Cobus Coetzee, Beeld; Johannesburg - Gautengers face a wait of up to six months for a learner's licence or driver's licence appointment at the 30 testing centres in the province.
Khusela Sangoni of the Gauteng Shared Service Centre (GSSC) said there was already a waiting list of more than 37 000 people waiting for test dates. Read More
just nutting at the moment... nutting!
Any chance someone can start a license buying thread, I am no longer interessted in getting my license in the legal manner. R 1500-00 is no problem compared to the amount of time I waste on telephone calls and queueing in lines.
sigh2 months on the waiting list to get a motorbike learners - they are beyond useless. called again today...i should hear from them in the next 2 weeks (yeh and pigs fly) and then doent matter if i have anything planned that day, must just drop everything at a seconds notice because these damn idiots cant arrange a booking...sheez i am so mad about this and jack all i can do

At least I have another year to go before I have to try get through to those fools...
Please sign our petition - we know it to be a massive problem; our only method to legally address this is to get as many signatures as possible. Thank you for letting us know; please see petition details in my signature.

If you dont want to wait then make sure to take a bucket of KFC with to give to the "consultant" and maybe an extra R200, guaranteed you will get your license within a week.
After reading this thread I have an understanding why the person I mentioned in the below thread bought theirs in PE.

Disgusting how each and every sector of public service is falling apart.
*takes out license and gives it a big kiss*
