Channel bonding is not new at all. Think ISDN with multiple B channels bonded together to achieve 128kbps.

I guess it IS somewhat novel in the ADSL space, since it requires an ISP that is prepared to accept ML-PPPoE connections, as well as hardware that has multiple ADSL interfaces.

your cant multi link as telkom does not allow this on the ESR.
and oh please QoS?, of course you cannot provide QoS.
Telkom's ESR do not do QoS, so yes you may provide QoS over the Layer 3 portion but it doesn't matter if the packet is not going to be honored on layer 2.
the bonding is probably done by building a vpn (something like pptp) where the gre protocol used to carry the vpn is session-less and can be load balanced on a per packet kinda scheme. this really doesn't seem new to me either....
of course the vpn has to break out somewhere, a server host for example, so you would then pay for the dsl accounts to run the vpn and then again to get internet access...

Why isn't the box for sale? I suppose the bandwidth is worth paying for if reliability can be guaranteed but who will really use 20Mbps at a constant pace when you only have 60GB to use. It isn't cheaper when you can get 6035GB in 30 days with a 20Mbps leased line.
Not to mention that your traffic potentially travels over different IP addresses each time you request / send, hence many boards like this one will require you to log in every post or so...
Of course all of this can be done on an old win or *nix box

I've been boding 4x4mbit ADSL lines for ages, via a PC running RouterOS.
