Default Help Please! Problem with dissconnecting modem router.

Hi i have a problem with my micronet router, it dissconects sometimes 5 times in an hour.

It is the model SP3367A and when it dissconects the ADSL light on the router starts flashing, and will reconnect in about 30 secs.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, as i have no idea what the frick to do...

Thanks!

Oh here is the log if it helps in any fashion.

We had the same problem here after the recent rains [check if the phone connected to the line is noisy] - you'll have to phone Telkom to send a technician check the line.

i used to have this problem, with my microcom router, until i made pppoe connections, and used route sentry to dial up, it actually went away.

i think there could be a problem maybe with the firmware drivers on it running in router mode, rather than in modem mode,

but this is just my guess, try switching it over to pppoe, and just dial up everytime you start your pc. its take like what 2 secs to do that anyways, just double click,,,lol,,,,should sort it.

Just make sure your other devices, FAX, cordless phone etc. are connected via filters. the line noise sometimes drops the connections.

You MUST have all other devices connected to your telkom line connect through a microfilter.
