A number of our clients are still on our connections that use unregulated spectrum and unfortunately being unregulated means that you get the odd "fish and chips" supplier blasting out in his own little world and that inteferes with your connection. Our support desks spend most of their time adjusting clients frequencies to spectrum that is not being interfered with and we are trying as quickly as possible to move all clients to our licenced spectrum which ensures consistently high speeds.
Cyberarmy, please e-mail us with your account no and I will check if you are in an area that is due to go onto licenced spectrum connections.
By using Mikrotik wireless, what do you expect?
At least use something decent that is true carrier class.
From what I have read in this forum, it appears that Screamer are doing things on the cheap and nasty, and getting similar results.

Have you guys learnt nothing?

It's obvious that if one depends on GWI/SCREAMER for internet connectivity one MUST have a backup.
Have you ever seen their hi-site installs?

Their turn-around on WiMax tower issues is quite quick ... as long as the problem doesn't occur on the weekend, else you tend to wait until Monday for it to be corrected.

+1

Response is very good. I even have the techie's cell number now!
At least he get's a bottle of coke when he comes and fixes something.

You treat them well, you get better support.

Their service has improved a lot since the early days.

When they came to install the WiMax it took around twenty minutes and thats because I forgot my linksys's password to setup the config on my side.

Like I said, I can confidently recommend Screamer to anyone now. I just wish they had even bigger coverage. So my poor sis in the bundus (Kosibay)can share the joy.
