USB to Ethernet adaptor for USB Modem

Is it possible to get a USB to Ethernet adaptor for an iBurst USB modem? I'd like to connect it up to my router without buying a new modem or router.

Has anyone seen one of these and if so, where could a get my hands on one?

That's what I thought too.. until I actually saw one with my own eyes.

It's quite weird, USB on one end, and ethernet on the other. Not sure what it is actually used for, but I highly doubt that you can use it to connect an iBurst USB modem to a router's WAN port (or any other ethernet port for that matter).

I think these cables are used to carry a mouse or keyboard signal (USB keyboard or mouse) over long distances (much greater than what USB can handle)... I think it also requires some sort of intermediate device to convert the signal...

I've seen Ethernet to USB adaptors, where you can connect an ethernet cable to your computer without actually having an ethernet card (the adaptor would connect to the USB), but i'd really like to find out if it's possible to do it the other way round...

Really doubtful if this would exist, it would mean that the adapter would have to implement the usb stack since it would be the host.

If it does exist would be pretty expensive.

Try the Billion BiPac 7402GXL. It does ADSL, HSDPA and iBurst.

Tested one of these and it worked great.
