Ok, the hair dryer issue aside. I just want a plug 'n play system (preferably pure sine wave) that will last for the 2.5 hours of load shedding for 65" LED TV, Wi-Fi, a couple of lights. I don't want to fiddle with inverter/charger settings.

Sometimes LS occurs when people are preparing for work. The garage moto is the old type with no battery back up system. Budget is around 10K; a little bit flexible.

I'm interested in the Mecer 2400Va 24V Inverter for Router, TV, lights, PC. My concern: on occasion it needs to run the garage door motor. Since it is not a pure sine wave, will it be able to run the garage motor and maybe a hairdryer?
