    Hi there

You'd be looking for an inkjet printer that uses ink. Laser printers use toner and are not as suitable for photo printing. Good quality colour laser printers are expensive, and good quality colour inkjets are relatively cheap.

I recommend HP. For R1500ish, you could get a decent "all in one" - which comprises of a printer and a scanner/copier built into one.

Otherwise there are normal printers (without the scanner/copier) as well as dedicated photo printers.

This one looks good at R1150 - you can spend the rest on more ink refills and photo paper.

    R1150 HP Q8388C photosmart C4483 - Print-Scan-Copy with 3.8cm LCD ; 32mb , 4800x1200dpi ; mono/color : 30/23ppm , 100s input , 50sheets output , duty : 1000pages per month ; scan : 1200x2400/19200dpi , 48bit ; standalone copy , 50 mutiple copies , 50-400% - USB , Flash card reader
