Epic Export aims at facilitating trade finance to increase exports of locally manufactured goods to Africa, using cellphone technology & believes SA should target at least 20% of the 150m consumers living on the continent, being a participant in a share of this trade.
This would grow South Africa’s consumer base from 15m to 45m people, raise South Africa's foreign exchange earnings by some R4000bn per annum and enlarge the country's manufacturing base enhancing employment in South Africa’s manufacturing industries. The economy thus could achieve a GDP growth rate of 6% within 5 years and this too would cement South Africa’s economic ties with the rest of sub–Saharan Africa.
