Many cancelled DStv Premium subscribers will be back - MultiChoice CEO

I'd rather just go to the pub and watch there than sign up just for this. Watching at home is boring anyway unless you have mates over. Arrogant pricks.

UPDATE: Fibre in Glenwood, Berea and Bulwer (Durban)

Join us for the regular bitchfest in the rain subforum. It was digusting yesterday, sub-2mbps download, latency of a few hundred ms. Not sure if it has improved today, have not had time to check my stats...

    Night surfer package

Just subscribe to the 479/pm one and use it at night. It's cheap enough already.

Big Windows update could bring an end to Control Panel

Remember when Windows 8.1 brought back the start menu? Yeah. Don't update until Windows 10.1 [emoji23]

    Rain's incredible valuation

So, with all these valuations, and so on, what exactly happened at Rain? Their website is bare bones - just the products, no general info, no customer communications (like hey, here is our 5G rollout plan, here is an outage map). Standard ISP stuff. Their social media went dead at the beginning...

    Your Raspberry Pi Projects

What a dick move from Huawei, honestly. I can only think that they do not want users to change the DNS servers so it uses the built-in Chinese ones to gather users data... My B311As still allowed this hack, alas I do not use it anymore so have no idea if they updated firmware.

    Your Raspberry Pi Projects

There is a hidden JavsScript applet to show DNS settings in some Huawei routers that have them hidden. This way you can still use your router as the DHCP server, but tell it what DNS servers to use. Check here...

    Rain LTE bands

No. A PCI is just a cell identifier. There is no rule here. A provider may have 10 antennas for one band, and only 1 or 2 for another band. Or anything really. It also depends where you are, what towers/cell are around you and what you pick up. In general, Rain has far more B3 antennas/cells...

    Rain LTE bands

This is because on Rain B3 uses FDD, and B38 uses TDD. TDD in most cases gives much slower upload speed, because the ISP sets it up asymmetrically to favour higher downloads speed at the expense of upload speed (users download much more than they upload). Unless you plan on uploading a lot, you...

Takealot, Amazon pricing and delivery compared in South Africa

Yes. I recently bought something and there was shipping and import duty added. Still worked out cheaper than Takealot and far more choice.
