Yeah, mine was run from the black box. Told the installer I don't have one of the grey boxes and he said it was not a problem. They did seem to have about 10-15 minutes of troubleshooting but no major issues.
I had my installation scheduled today for next week Thursday, so I would say at least a week depending on how long the waiting list currently is. According to Vumatel Elfindale is going live on the 30th April.
Hopefully it won't be too long until we go live, received an email confirming order installation with an order number. ETA for the installation is very vague though, "your chosen ISP will contact you within the coming weeks".
Not sure if anyone else had this but I've had a Vumatel call center agent contact me on the landline asking for basic details and which ISP I want to use, after they got the details they said they would hand them over to the ISP and they would assist with the rest of the process. Elfindale area btw.
They have to dig it up for the trenching if aerial fibre is not applicable for your road. If you have electric poles on your side of the road they use them for the fibre line, if not they use underground trunking.
Just got a visit from a Vumatel rep explaining the process. He advised that if you have driveway paving like I do take a picture of it so that when they relay it if you are unhappy with it let them know and they will re do it at their cost.
