    200mb Fibre for 8 people

It is a good recommendation imo. It allows for some leeway for other internet usage and gives them some breathing room, bitrate-wise.

    200mb Fibre for 8 people

Ain't you answering your own question? Fast.com is a speed test that attempts to max your line (50mbps) while your TV is simply showing the speed being used (15.25mbps). Netflix can only use so much bandwidth.

    Mikrotik Bandwidth Priority

Similar problem on my side. Probably less complicated though. Have 2 wireless networks that I want to give a simple 50/50 split. Is the mikrotik rb750 still the way to go? Seems to have been replaced with the hEX lite? Still have an old hAP lite here somewhere, but I assume that is too lightweight?

    Is CCA cable "Solid"?

Seems to be the case here as well. Finally found some more info/reviews on the cable. The reviews states that the individual wires are more plastic than copper making them hard to work with in keystones or crimp ends ... back to Scoop I go.

    Is CCA cable "Solid"?

A supplier is selling me a box of "Solid" cat cable. When I double checked with them on if it was solid, and not CCA lan cable, they replied, stating that it was not pure copper. Am I under the wrong impression that unless it is specifically sold as CCA, all solid cables are supposed to be...

Comparing Fibre ISP Pricing (on Frogfoot)

Don't know if this will be of use to anyone, but I am creating a sheet to try and get an overall view of the frogfoot ISP options and pricing available in the Helderberg area: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Ki7dxdQ9GJOrwFuMrO4d45H2-KEMudoCjqSkg-ROFGk/edit?usp=sharing

Vodacom billing shock from Google Play Store

When transacting online (play store or Google One sub), I am unable to charge a purchase to my contract SIM. When using the actual play store app or Google One app on a device that is logged into my account, I can make purchases without the SIM being present in the device. In my test, the same...

What did Google tell you? Have you looked at the order history on the cellphone in question? https://play.google.com/store/account/orderhistory This should tell you a better story and enable you to request a refund.

Did Vodacom deceited clients in a cunning manner?

[/spelling&grammar] Can confirm that my data contract is showing the same in the app. Usage being deducted from the new allocation while I still have a perfectly usable bundle that is due to expire at the end of September.

Openserve the ultimate fibre provider in South Africa soon?

That R399 has a 100GB FUP or something crazy, ain't it? I am currently looking to get 10mbps for our household. What is wrong with 10? It is the cheapest option.

Vodacom billing shock from Google Play Store

This is an odd one. I had this long thing typed out about how one is not able to purchase stuff without the SIM being present in the phone blah blah blah, as I tested it with my wife's phone a few months ago. As in, I put a Vodacom sim in her phone, set up carrier billing, plopped back the...

How to import from GearBest and more

Shenanigans. I like! Worst case scenario DHL contacts you I guess? But then you know. From experience the couriers will use their brands and still deliver the package in such a case as long as it is on their route.

How to import from GearBest and more

Eish, that is crazy. I specifically used my more remote address with my testing, that is considered as being "Regional" by courierit. Clearly not remote enough for dhl .
