Jip, I guess a black friday special is there for a reason, ie to clear out some stock they are not moving. I have heard that the Apple TV is great, but the only problem is the only Apples in my house are Ganny Smiths.

Hey all. I recently purchased a Hisense 65" smart TV that runs on their VIDAA OS. I was impressed with the way it runs, and it has a great remote for shortcuts and so on. But it is lacking in some apps. They just do not appear on their store, and i don't think you can sideload anthing onto it...

It has been a crazy experience. As mentioned they said the activation was imminent. Then I got called to say there was an issue and a technician will come out. Turns out previous owner snapped the fibre line. They had to put a new box and fibre line, but then 2 hours later we are sorted...

I know that is a great option, but when fibre is available the cost is just a bit too much. We are not heavy users, but we need it for work. So we are like 50mbps type people. bit of netflix. But thanks. I am sure it is incredible!

Thanks for the advice. I have both Vumatel and Openserve running past me, so I guess I could always get an openserve line. Hopefully my ISP can escalate an install

Xiaomi is great stuff. I use their TV box at home, and it is awesome. My favourite feature of the speaker would have to be the size of it, and how much output it has. Pretty impressive. Having Chromecast built in is also nice.
