I agree it is a huge amount of work, and that is what I am worried about. I have kids now so my free time to code has drastically gone down, so that's why I thought I should at least ask other for their advice before diving into it. The main difference I think would be a really nice, fast...
I think Entrepreneurs are the heroes of the SA economy. I make custom ERP like cloud systems for businesses, and my clients rave about them. I can't keep up with demand, so I was thinking of making something generic. Doing some research there seems to be so much software out there around...
I raised another ticket a few months ago (was taking about 2 mins to get the backup page to load), and I am pleased to say, today when I went to take a backup, it was fast and smooth. they have fixed the issue, well done domains.co.za!
While you are on the fixing things streak, would you please also look into why edit (delete then add) IP6 reverse DNS record does not work (as shown in the image below with a green rectangle). The delete IP4 reverse record works. One is only allowed to add a new entry once the existing one is...
For anyone else facing this issue, you would probably have a VPS which is a couple of years old, below is some info on how to proceed.
Thanks to Murmaider who is a step higher than the usual support crew he figured it out:
I thought it had to be this:
from: https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/749399/debian-12-unable-to-login-using-my-key-and-still-able-to-login-using-password
Thanks for looking into, that is so strange. I don't know what else to do, I thought it had to be the image, because I did some research and if the sshd is not started (which is be default), it will give you the password prompt and just waste wanna be intruders time by always saying your...
I have set up many VPS's with domains.co.za. Debian 11 installs no problems, and then when it comes to SSH into it for the first time, I type in the temp password I choose at install time (via the domains.co.za web interface) and its fine.
When I try Debian 12, when I try to log in, it always...
Not sure what "it" is in the sentence? Good video thanks! Unfortunately the main DB is only a 15way, so there is not space for to add the breakers to Goto the inverter and isolator fort the L&N back in. Tried to fit all loads in one DB but can't, that's why I split it. I will label it nicely and...
Using the feed back I got here, and due to the size of the DB's they sell, I rearranged the DB. I dont imagine much will be wrong. The main benefit is the inverter IN & OUT ties in at one place in one DB, instead of across 2 DBs. Maybe it help future people:
Don't know where to tie in the...
Nice
Nice, thanks for that, I bought 125A fuses from Northiside electrical, for my 2KVA inverter. (2KV + 10% inefficiency = 2.2KW, batteries at lowest would be 21V, so 2.2KW / 21V = 104A max load worst case.
Thanks for the advice, which I can summarise as it would be a good idea to also be able to break the neutral of the feed to the inverter from the main DB (which I think is a good idea). The change over switch has a off position so that would isolate the incoming feed from the inverter. And then...
I bought a second hand inverter and batteries off gumtree, and thankfully it came with this lil DB that got me thinking and made me research it (or else I would have probably made a big boom):
I have read this post...
Anyone else here tried Rackzar? Price is not the only thing when it comes to hosting SAAS. I would say reliability, speed, and support are more important.
