Got multimeter. When turning AC on and charging, I get 26.4V at first which increases to 27.3V over about 45 seconds.
It then suddenly spikes to 29.6V which is what causes Error 8 and the alarm. Then down to 27.2V, 27.1V and 27.0V over a few seconds afterwards where I stopped testing.
I was...
Cool thanks will do. Packed away somewhere in a box… It’s actually this CTEK which they say is good for up to 100Ah lead acid… Guess this won’t work then, or that it’ll take ages?

Yip, no balancing and she worked well for a year until I had solar for around 20 months.
No more solar now which is why I dusted her off at yesterday’s LS news. I had been charging her up every 6 months or so and powered a pressure washer occasionally, just to tick things over a bit with the...
Thanks bud, still trying to find it. What would you like measured?
All of the Error 08 troubleshooting videos I’ve watched show the input voltage spiking, leading to the error. My input and output voltages are aligned at +-230V.
As I ran the Hubbles without balancing, maybe it’s a good idea...
Same issue now that LS is back, having not used the inverter/batteries properly for 20 months. Was never an issue in the past...
Synapse 3.0+ with 2x Hubble S120
I'd been charging the Synapse 3.0+ and 2x Hubble 120Ah for about 30 minutes, and then got Error 08.
Any ideas where to look?
Inverter wasn't used properly for 20 months. I occasionally charged the batteries up, and attempted to cycle them a bit by powering a pressure washer.
