Just an update, today it seems to be back to normal when running on eskom power, with the output much closer to the input as it usually was (currently 234 in and out), not 244 Vs 216 like last night. I have reset the settings (they were right but just in case) and I think the battery definitely...
Yeah I could do that, but my inverter is for when its not an appropriate time to run the generator so when I do run the generator I would prefer not to be discharging the battery for no good reason (because I may turn off the generator when the power isn’t back yet and want to use the inverter)...
Definitely busy saving for a lithium battery. I have a gel that’s badly discharged at the moment so to be running off it doesn’t make sense for now. I know it needs replacement but I’m working on it. My generator petrol costs could only recoup a lithium battery in over a year probably even...
Appreciate that, but definitely not lucky because when it drops to 0 everything that’s plugged in turns off, including my WiFi and printer. So I have power but I have no WiFi or printer because the inverter stopped giving output ♀️
Hi everyone! I wonder if anyone can provide some insight ♀️
I have an Ecco 1kw pure sine UPS Inverter, but I also have a generator and my idea is that the inverter doesn’t have to use battery power when the generator is running as that is a waste.
My generator was producing between 217 and 222...
Did you need to change any settings on the inverter? I have the same inverter and looking to go lithium. I see you got yours from Life power, are they the best value for money for a drop in replacement?
It definitely could. I’d prefer to have an AC solution so I can use the monitor as well but this is definitely an option. I can probably afford to spend R5k ish…
Hi everyone!
I’m a student so on a very limited budget but trying to put together a system that will at least run my laptop charger (60w) and my monitor, and ideally my tv (42 inch HD - Google says average 120W) but I can even go without the tv. I’m not looking at more than 200w/250w at a time...
