    Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem

I really was hoping Wolcen could fill in the gap between the incredible complexity of PoE, and also give us something looking a bit more updated, but not be quite as confounding as PoE is - This would be perfect to fill time between leagues. But it's just so incredibly goddamn boring. It's the...

    Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem

It's a total mess. Hardly any of it makes sense. All that aside, it was fun hitting things for a while, as that visceral part of it is enjoyable - However, the game is simply dreadfully boring. The loot and affixes are boring, often superfluous, and it's a total chore trying to find an upgrade...

    Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem

I tried online, and found it completely unplayable with around ~170 ms latency. There's a delay between attacking and the hit registering. Combined with the already awkward-feeling animation delays, lack of skill queuing and things like potions being non-instant (i.e. you need to wait for an...

People should not be able to request thread deletions.

Are you sure sure? Because I lie in bed sweating about the possibility of threads getting deleted, and now the spectre of polls getting edited is being added to the mix.

People should not be able to request thread deletions.

I assumed you could, but I'm not invested enough in my joke poll to bother you guys with it. You've got enough to deal with, like assessing requests to delete threads and such.

People should not be able to request thread deletions.

I sort of added it as a joke after you commented, and how now further compounded matters by selecting yes accidentally myself, where I ought to have selected no. Also, you can't edit polls, as far as I can see. So, rather fittingly, this poll is about as useful as the thread from last night...

People should not be able to request thread deletions.

In all seriousness, I understand your semantic point here, but all we see from our side are the ones that do get removed, and there are times, such as the one from last night, where I don't understand why it went. It's irritating contributing to a thread, having a conversation, and then it just...

People should not be able to request thread deletions.

I very nearly made one last night with yes and no both as selectable options...

People should not be able to request thread deletions.

Tell you what - two birds with one stone - Don't allow people to request thread deletions, and there will be no reason for people to request that people should not be allowed to request thread deletions.

People should not be able to request thread deletions.

Because it's always the entertaining ones that get killed. Make your bed and lie in it.

How many books have you read in your lifetime?

It's a bit of a wild guess on my part, but I figure I've probably averaged about a book a week for the past 25 years or so, which would be around ~1300 so far.

What 2020 releases have you pre-ordered or plan to?

That's great, and obviously worth it, if there's deal to be had, and if you are sure the game is going to be enjoyable. I'm just unwilling to take a risk on a game that costs several hundred bucks, in a world where products like Fallout 76 exist. At the same time, I'm willing to take...

    Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem

It so happens, I think I like this sort of game precisely because the story doesn't have to be important for the game to be good - I have a very limited attention span for some reason when it comes to the narrative of computer games (which is weird, as I've read thousands of books quite...

What 2020 releases have you pre-ordered or plan to?

Not quite what you asked but, relevant. I backed Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem a while ago, and it just recently released, and it's a bit of a disaster. Don't mind that I did, as it was like R200, and it was always going to be a risk how it turns out. What I don't understand is pre-ordering...

    Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem

I really hope they work on Wolcen - It really could be a bit of fun if they get it working properly. It is, as you say, a ****ing mess though. I'm guessing they needed cash, and if the steam charts and broken servers are anything to go by, they probably got more sales than they bargained for...

MyBB Path of Exile Intro, FAQ, Chat and Players

Yeah, I get it. As I say, I felt the same way for years until it clicked. And I can't actually quite imagine jumping into the game now - I've been playing since it launched, and there are still major bosses and content I've not actually done, which is either a testament to how much I suck at the...

MyBB Path of Exile Intro, FAQ, Chat and Players

I completely understand, and felt exactly the same, for about a year of trying to figure it out (and at the time, the game was WAY less complex). I just don't think it's possible to introduce all of these in a manner any better than they already do (without significant additional resources)...
