    Has anyone seen this?!!

Irony here is that TP has actual utility, unlike everything else on that list.

How do you keep yourself busy during lockdown?

Working. But, using quiet moments and the time I would have spent in traffic, to enrich and educate myself.

Things are worse now than the week before the lock-down. Change my mind.

Makes me think a bit about the origin of religion and how people cling to that as a resort against a similar type of 'common enemy'. Anyway, that's a can of worms for another time.

Things are worse now than the week before the lock-down. Change my mind.

If you started this thread with a discussion around how 'strict' is too strict, and what sort of opportunity for abuse a lockdown leaves, then sure, there's an argument to be had. A more political and social one, sure, but still. However, as far as the actual effect of social distancing is...

Things are worse now than the week before the lock-down. Change my mind.

Not much of an opening argument presented, and thus can be refuted quite easily. I think the mistake a lot of people make is thinking that they can have an opinion on a 'lockdown'. It works and is effective - the data says so.

Did you stock up because of the coronavirus pandemic?

I can tell you're having a rough childhood. Muted.

Did you stock up because of the coronavirus pandemic?

Equally as stupid as the panic buyers is the above mentality. Appalling.

Did you stock up because of the coronavirus pandemic?

No offense but that's a pretty daft approach. No 'panic' needed to realize that there may legitimately be shortages and to cover yourself in such an event. I bet you loathe the panic buyers - many do - but they could cause actual issues.

Do you think income inequality is a problem?

I'm pretty sure it was metaphorical.

Do you think income inequality is a problem?

The gender pay gap is a contentious issue and you'd do well to research both sides of the story. Not denying it doesn't exist at all, but then if it does - isn't there a good reason for it? The world has become obsessed with giving everyone a participation prize and eradicating merit...

How to pay of a home loan quicker

Unfortunately you haven't had the friendliest bunch of replies so far. Ignoring the mostly useless content above, the answer is that the 'interest free' is only valid for certain transactions, and inter-account transfers is not one of them. So no, the bank is a step ahead here and it won't work.

Will Moody's downgrade South Africa to junk status this year?

If they don't, they lose credibility.

Reasons to feel positive about South Africa

“However, consumers and investors need not panic as the downgrade has largely been priced in the market” This sort of bs rhetoric makes me sick. It's like saying 'yes, crime is out of control, but we sleep in a locked down house at night secured with beams, cameras, and an armed response...

You had your moment, Mr President, and you blew it! - John Steenhuisen

It will be shared by fed up South Africans on social media; people on Facebook will 'like' it, twitter users will retweet it, and it'll be shared on WhatsApp, with many a clever comment and a "give that man a Bell's". Heck, here we are talking about it on a forum. And you know what impact his...
