So next question, the gate motor is a centurion D2, anyone know if there is a way to read the open/close state of this gate, or do I need a sensor?

Home Brewing / Micro Brewery / My own beer

I'm picking up my malt, hops and yeast tomorrow to do a schwatzbier and a festbier. Been a while since I have done a lager. I'm long on homebrew at the moment as I had a good 60l of beer good to go for our homebrew Fest which was meant to be this weekend, so figured I'd do one of the lagers old...

Awesome! Thanks so much for the help that worked perfectly.

OK, since I am somewhat scared of screwing up the gate motor... Do I now just connect the trigger and COM to the output side then, and don't touch input? Apologies for the dumb questions...

Hmm, I did remove the 1ohm resistors. Edit: I soldered some headers on the input and outputs, is it as simple as just bridging output?

Ouens, now I am confused AF... is there a software setting I need to do in Tasmota do make the dry contact output or am I missing something more technical here?

So I attempted to connect up a Sonoff SV to my centurion gate motor. Wired it between COM and Trigger. Shorted that wire gate open, happy days. I then tried to wire it to the 12v battery on the gate, I used some DuPont cables, which clearly couldn’t handle something and they melted... anyway...

Are you sure it works as a repeater? From what I read it doesn’t, though that might have changed

Bought most of the parts off AliExpress. The peltings were the recommended ones off eBay. If I did it again I’d go with the printed board that also acts as the sled.

Finally getting the hang of the new brewery. Initially I was using a basket in the kettle but the efficiency was just so bad that I worried it was impacting the product. Switched back to the Coleman cooler. Might pick up a SS Brewtech mash run if I visit the US again sometime. The precise...

I posted a while back about dimmer options (doesnt there are too many, as was pointed out). Has anyone looked at these? Looks like a viable alternative for keeping the existing switch, and having dimming. My guess is I might need to put it in the roof and wire it down to the switch, not the end...

I know every couple of months this comes up, perhaps by me [emoji39]. I have around 60 downlights scattered around the house. I am looking at getting them automated, and as I am seeing it, I have a handful of options. Zigbee GU10 bulbs, the Gledopto ones from aliexpress seem reasonably well...

So, first I want to say big thanks to phaktza for organizing the konnected modules. They look rad, and I was super excited to try them out. The problem I am facing is that this is not the interface module, which essentially sits in parallel with you existing panel. The konnected alarm panel is a...

I might be wading into an area where I'm pretty clueless, but isn't that what konnecteds interface module does?
