    Axxess Down

No, it is not, still the authentication issue. Kinda useless trying to call them for an update, as for their status page, it will be the same in 2 days time.

    Axxess Down

You are "seeing" issues for more than a year now ... I wonder if it's only Axxess affected by the Openserve troubles, because it seems no one else is complaining. I hoped that the problems that plague Axxess would be sorted at some point in time but it seems I was wrong.

Yes, I was lucky they run out of blue pills (with the lockdown and all). But then, better late than never...

Axxess is a lost cause, from customer and technical support and the quality of their service. I just completed a back-to-back speed test using a Cool Ideas test account and my Axxess account - the bandwidth and latency on the Axxess account is about 30% from what I got on Cool Ideas tests.

    International bandwidth issues

Thank you very much Bryn, I will check it out. I do have VPN at work and is better than Axxess.

    International bandwidth issues

I just completed a speed test with the account provided by Cool Ideas and, while the upload speed is still quite low, the download speed is perfect on both local and international connections (on Axxess network even SAIX Bellville test is half of what should be).

    International bandwidth issues

Could anyone try to help me understand something about the bandwidth issue below? A bit of history: I have a fibre contract with Axxess on Openserve network. After the first WACS cable break in January this year and after the initial 2-3 days, when most of the ISPs bought additional bandwidth...

Axxess on Openserve – very low bandwidth on international connections

Yes, for at least one week, bandwidth on both local and international connections are much lower. Maybe you could send a PM to PBCool (few posts up). He was very nice and provided me with a test account which seems to prove that the issue is on Axxess network. If I manage to get other tests...

Axxess on Openserve – very low bandwidth on international connections

Thank you, I didn't think that but it seems you are correct. And to reply to cavedog (thanks a lot for you help), it seems that Axxess is to be blamed. I still hope to get a Vox or Afrihost test account tomorrow sometime, but PBCool was nice and provided me with a Cool Ideas test account. Quite...

Axxess on Openserve – very low bandwidth on international connections

I am not sure what links you mean - a speed test on Saix custom (http://telkom-saix.speedtestcustom.com/) to London shows 165 ping, 1.4 Mbps download and 4.1 Mbps upload and 176, 1.62 and 4.02 on Ookla to London Vodafone UK. Yes, I know that Axxess is supposed to be unthrottled but I don't...

Axxess on Openserve – very low bandwidth on international connections

I have already tried using 2 test accounts from Axxess and the results were exactly the same. Also, forgot to mention: I have a VPN connection to my office and, strange enough, the results are far better on VPN than on the normal connection (at least on the download part). But, I haven't thought...

Axxess on Openserve – very low bandwidth on international connections

Since the day the undersea cables were broken, my bandwidth on international connections is pretty bad (to say the least). I am on a 20/10 bundle with Axxess and Openserve and I barely get 2 Mbps download and about 4 to 5 Mbps upload on international connections. However, the speed on local...

To be honest, I am not even sure what to think. I am with Axxess for a very long time but my last year experience with them has been somewhere from bad to appalling. I’ve been reporting a problem to Axxess support for more than a month (have a ticket opened for a month) and it seems Openserve...

Telkom LIT Android media box - Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

Thank you. I'm quite new to android TV boxes but that's no reason to forget that Google is 'man's best friend'. If I'm not asking too much, which are (some) of the most used or useful apps to have, these days?

Telkom LIT Android media box - Tips/Tricks/Apps thread

Thank you very much. Unfortunately, the device is not recognized on PC (no eligible device) ... so, tough luck :cautious:. Strange enough, I cannot find ES File Explorer as a valid app to install on the box (on PC, the device is also grayed out). I've seen a question asked few month back about...
