Coffee Making, Latte Art, Barista Skills

I saw Cape coffee beans had one but it was like double the price of the Amazon one. Not worth that kinda money.

Coffee Making, Latte Art, Barista Skills

Picked up one of these cool levelers when I did my last Amazon purchase: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077BZ4CV6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Another seemingly frivolous thing but it works a lot better than I expected, so it's part of the arsenal now!

    Rocketnet - feedback?

That's very weird. I contacted them on WhatApp on a Sunday afternoon and they got back to me in minutes. Maybe their sales team is not as good as their support

    Are you coping financially?

I've been really lucky that covid had no real impact on my income so far. I don't really have any money worries, looking to buy a house so that may change then

    10GbE networking

Ha, don't tempt me. My storage is seriously bursting at the seams and plan to add a new 14TB x 4 pool to my TrueNAS box. Maybe after that I'll look at upgrading the network :)

    10GbE networking

I've been contemplating it but I have other priorities (like more hard drives). All my machines are hooked up with dual aggregated 1Gbit links which is fine for my needs.

Nvidia unveils GeForce RTX 3060 – Specifications and pricing

Glad I bought my 3060Ti when I did (for 10k), I see there are basically zero 3000 series cards anywhere now.

Culprit number 1 is pretty much always the file naming. Check that you files are named correctly: https://support.plex.tv/articles/naming-and-organizing-your-tv-show-files/

    Plex Thread

This app is no longer supported and was removed from the Microsoft store, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of things don't work on it anymore. For Windows you have two options: 1. Plex (for Windows) - basically the same interface as the Web app but with much better codec support (so it will...

Transcoding is bursty. It'll use all the CPU until its built up enough of a buffer and then it'll throttle down until it needs to transcode more.

    Plex Thread

The answer: On Windows (and Mac) yes, but not any other platforms. If you plan on doing transcoding I would recommend a relatively modern Intel CPU.

    Mecer 2400VA Inverter (Community Support)

I'm not talking about the same inverter as the OP (sorry, hitched on to this thread as it's the most active). I'm talking about a Must/Axpert 3KVA pure sine wave inverter...

    Mecer 2400VA Inverter (Community Support)

Found a guy in Kenilworth to repair my Must inverter, charging me R2500 which I guess seems reasonable as a new one would be at least double that plus having another piece of junk on the scrapheap. Have no idea if he's any good, but we will find out when the repair is done

    Mecer 2400VA Inverter (Community Support)

So it appears it may be the inverter that's at fault here. The battery voltages tested fine so decided to connect up the known good batteries from my other inverter and it won't charge those either. Looks like I'm SOL with warranty as it's older than a year, so will find a repair place...
