    Huawei P20 / P20 Plus

Yes, but only the faster speeds apply to LTE..

    Huawei P20 / P20 Plus

Lte-A, sure, it's faster. But this is in areas where LTE is not available. We're both sitting on H or H+. So theoretically should be the same

I'd get it checked out. Surely @Huawei can help?

    Huawei P20 / P20 Plus

One thing I've noticed is my girlfriend's P20 Pro will have the same signal as my Mate 10 Pro (same network), but her phone's data will have more throughput than mine, i.e. in times when signal is poor. I know there are many factors to consider, but just interesting

    Anybody signed up with Tymebank?

Cool, thanks @TymeGuy . I wonder, for international card purchases, what the spread on those transactions will be. Because Capitec has no spread. Going overseas in July and I don't particularly want to open another account for this

    150k Investment (6-12 months)

I wouldn't go into a high risk investment if it's such a short term. There's a good chance you could lose money. If looking at 6-12 months, just put it in a fixed deposit or notice account from African bank. They have the highest interest rates I believe. Or Tymebank. They have a R100k deposit...

    Some financial advice

RA vs TFSA: sure, not a big difference really (other than the fact that your TFSA is not reg28 constrained). But TFSA vs normal ETF investing: huge tax saving as the years go by

    Yeah I'm not sure.. Semantics?

    Some financial advice

I can't find the article right now, but someone did the maths and it's best (tax wise) to first max out your TFSA (but make sure you're in equities with EFT's), then tackle your RA/Pension/Provident up to 27,5%. Any money left after that, and you have some good problems. But it really depends...

    Anybody signed up with Tymebank?

No harm in 'prepping' accounts. Means you'll have another account ready to continue giving you a good interest rate if you don't withdraw the whole amount. Interest is compounded annually, capitalised monthly. Monthly compounding would be a sure fire way to go broke for the bank lol

    advice on TFSA

Hm. What's your reasoning behind all this? Doesn't make much sense. Just buy the Satrix world or Ashburton 1200 and be done with it. Looks like you're just confusing yourself

How much do you have in your savings account?

This. Stuff only makes you happier for a very short period. Then it becomes the new norm and, like you say, just becomes clutter. Experiences though, like holidays, adventures, etc are what really make me happy. So I'm happy to spend more on these kinds of things. I do however, have all the...

How much do you have in your savings account?

I like this philosophy. Trying to get my SO to like it too lol. It's also about balance though - I'm not going to live like a peasant in order to have a big bank balance. And at the same time, I'm not going to live like a millionaire, but always being in debt

I don't think those two numbers will necessarily be the same, but best to double check
